Tim ([livejournal.com profile] gotmoof) graciously agreed to post two more pictures of the restored interior of The Palace Theatre in Waterbury, Connecticut. The first is of the Lobby of the theatre which is quite lovely with its mix of rich colors and gleaming polished marble floors. The second picture is a sideview of the proscenium and a closeup of the organ pipes. We haven't been able to determine if the pipes are decorative or if they were actually used for their suggested/intended purpose. I'm going to play detective:)

Wonderful pics. I will have to go there someday and see.

The pipes are the real deal.......

The concensus seems to be that they are real pipes. I guess I'll have to go in search of the organ:)

if there is a pit, check off to either side of the pit. in most theatres like that, the organ would be raised up with the pit.
