Bear Pride
Apr. 29th, 2008 10:14 pmIt doesn't take much to turn your day around when you know you are loved. After a mind-numbingly difficult and long day, I returned home about 8pm. In my mail box was a single card. I opened it, not quite certain what it could be since there was no special occasion attached to it that I could think of. I opened it. Inside it said, "We're proud of you and we love you. Mom and Dad".
I called Mom to thank her. I told her that the card had made my day. I asked her how she picked this particular greeting card. She replied, "Well, the message was about hugs ... and it had a bear on the cover." I may be on the slightly higher end of middle age, but it's still nice to get this kind of note at the end of a bad day from your folks. I guess my Mom has "bear pride":)
Hope all of my friends in LJ Land have someone who can turn their day around for the better!
