The Twins Turn 18!

I just want to play the proud uncle today. My nephews Brennan and Ryan are celebrating their 18th birthdays. This picture was taken over the weekend at the State Team Tennis tournament in Waco, Texas. The twins won all of their matches, fittingly playing doubles. Happy Birthday, Guys! I love ya!

Look at them! They look so different from when I first met them when they were just 11/12.

You're right, too- Brennan really has gotten in great shape the last year- even since I saw them last summer. Congratulations to them both! But of course, growing up in your family, they're bound to be fine young men. :)

Thanks Tim! I'm really proud of them! So hard to believe they are 18; when they were born, I was on a cruise ship sailing from New York to Bermuda. Hugs!

Nah...I learn a lot from them. I cherish my role as the "cool" uncle. They play instruments in band, but aren't very musical:) I do play tennis, but just well enough to know how bad I am:) Hugs from SF!

They are great kids...tho I suppose I should say young men now:) Brennan, the twin on the left has done a big transformation in the past year. He went from 204 on a 5'9" frame to 164, simply by exercising (running and working out). He got contacts and his braces off in a two-week period and suddenly blossomed. Plus, he's wicked funny. Ryan is a go-getter and already has his own business.

I'm really proud of both of them and their older brother. They are the kind of nephews who always give their uncle a hug and they often come to me for advice.... I am determined to keep my cool quotient high...LOL! I didn't reach them today. They were skiing in Reyodosa, NM.

I came to your page via rampagebear but thought I'd make a quick comment on how cool it is you're involved in your nephew's lives. It definitely looks warmer (and less snow now) than what it does here in South Dakota.

I liked the user info. I am in pursuit of a newer and improved me. I've been whining about turning 39 on Monday but hey, I think after I actually turn 39? There are some things to get accomplished.

Early Happy Birthday! My birthday is Tuesday. Trust me it only gets better as you get older. Just keep challenging yourself to be the best person you can be and to constantly evoolve and learn. One of the best things is that it is such a joy to have friendships of 20 years or more... to know that they are part of a special family you have created for yourself and the common bond is love, respect and appreciation for each other.
