Safe in Snowy Schenectady
Dec. 26th, 2004 09:33 pmTry to say that three times really fast! Safe in Snowy Schenectady:) I expected a hellish travel day, similar to the one I had on December 21. However, the flights (Houston-Atlanta-Albany) left on time and arrived early. My 35-minute layover in Atlanta wasn't a problem; in fact I made the connection in 10 minutes.
The downside - I was selected for "special screening" again, and my suitcase hasn't made it yet, but after Monday's two delayed flights, one canceled flight, one missed connection, three special screenings and snow storms on either end, I guess that completes the set of screw-ups by Delta Airlines. I should have good karma for the remainder of the tour, don't ya think? :)
I did pack a change of clothes, Christmas cookies and toiletries in my carry-on, so if the suitcase doesn't arrive on the midnight flight, I should be fine for a day or so. Good thing that I have fur, as my night shirt's on a plane somewhere:) My only concern is if the bag is delayed a couple of days. I leave here Wednesday for Florida. It could take awhile for the bag to catch up to me. Fingers, and everything that can be crossed, that my stuff here's sometime tonight.
Anyway...say with me... Safe in Snowy Schenectady, Safe in Snowy Schenectady....Hope everyone had a Happy Christmas!

Date: 2004-12-27 07:09 pm (UTC)Our company manager has been told when we travel as a group, that two people will be selected each time for the special screenings by the computer. It may be me most of the time because I am first alphabetically. Oooh! I'm thrilled! ....NOT! LOL!
