Pajama Party
Sep. 17th, 2004 07:48 amI'm about to head to the airport for the return to Texas. I had several options to mull for last night; however, it was so cold and rainy, my host David and I decided to stay in for the night and stage an old-fashioned pajama party.
We headed to Quiznos and picked up sandwiches, stopped off and rented a couple of movies and then headed back to the house. David and I donned our flannel night shirts, created our personal nests of pillows and blankets, cuddled up with his dog Tuk-Tuk, devoured the food laid out on the coffee table and watched "Big Eden". What a wonderful movie!
Bob (lowfatmuffin) told me I would love this movie and I did! I only wish folks in the real world honored our desire to find love as much as the people inhabiting Big Eden, Montana. My only criticism of the film... It was fiction.
One line from the movie hit me like a ton of bricks. The lead character Henry is about to leave Big Eden and return to NYC when his dear friend Grace (Louise Fletcher) tells him, "You know they say, if you're lost in the forest, don't wander. If you stay in one place long enough, someone will find you."
I'll be thinking about that all the way back to Texas....

Date: 2004-09-17 08:15 am (UTC)Dear, that statement is soooo true. While I wasn't looking per se, I did find someone to investigate and get to know and all it took was just living where I am and doing what I need to do to survive on a daily basis, like grocery shopping and boom, there he was, grabbing my attention and not realizing it at first. So far, the ride has been fun and it's only the begining. :-)
You'll find him soon or later. I'm pretty sure of that. Just keep your eyes open and you'll never know what'll happen.
