Winter Wonderland
Dec. 23rd, 2008 10:56 amThanks to the theater and Eric, the fiddler in the cast, I was insulated from commuting in the ice and snow casserole for the past few days. I spent two nights at the Sheraton and Eric's been giving me rides back and forth to the theater since the buses on my route aren't running. I've taken a few more photos that fill in the features of the face of this winter storm. Even with all of the negative, Seattle has been a bit of a winter wonderland. Click to enlarge the photos!

Zooming in on a snowy courtyard
from the 25th Floor of The Sheraton.

My weekend digs ...

The Ferries were running .. at least yesterday

A Festive Pikes Market

A car parked in front of my building

My new next door neighbor
He's a bit of a blue collar snowman

My favorite photo. Does anyone else see a polar bear
climbing a hill? :) Or is it just a clump of snow on a
branch of a tree ...

Date: 2008-12-23 11:17 pm (UTC)Decided to swing by the post office today and it took me two hours total to get between Eastlake and Kapitol Hill. I'm well ready for the "winter wonderland" to be over, but they tell us that another storm is due shortly. This is the worst I've ever experienced in Seattle in my fifteen years here.
