...but she's got a handsome brother named Richard and he lives in the Bay area:) I'm going to spend a bit of time with him later in the week! For those who don't know him, techwizsfo is a wonderful dancer.

It's been a low-key day for me, but one with lots of walking. After my host, Stan, left on his business trip, I met a long time friend for lunch at Harveys in the Castro. You can't get more homosexualist than 18th and Castro for lunch.

I walked over and down a hill from the place in the Haight where I am staying and took that opportunity to call excessor (Paul) on the cell. We chatted for a few minutes and made plans to meet during the week with Dr_Scott (Curtis). I really like these gentlemen and I don't even know them yet other than on live journal.

After lunch, I made a spur of the moment decision to attend a matinee feature at the historic Castro Theatre. "Yes Nurse, No Nurse" is an indie musical made in The Netherlands...sort of a campy Busby Berkley film with subtitles. It managed to draw me in because, despite the silliness, the story had heart!

After, I went into walking mode and headed downtown, window and eye candy shopping all the way to Old Navy at Fourth and Market. I've got to tell you, it doesn't get much seedier than that area between 5th and 6th on Market right around the Golden Gate Theatre. Off-putting to say the least....

After shopping at Old Navy, buying a couple of items for myself and a present for gotmoof (to replace a shirt I accidently shrunk in the dryer during our move), I headed back up town to pick up the pictures from yesterday's surprise birthday party and took the N Muni.

Now this boring detail is important. The ride on the underground really showed me that, Dorothy, I am indeed not in Kansas or small-town Texas. I was on a very crowded rush hour train, both hands occupied with bags. I shoved my way on the train and asked a couple of "How many stops" questions of a young guy standing next to me.

The train lurched quite a bit and I was using my knee and hip to keep from falling. The young business man was holding on to a pole behind my shoulder. I am suddenly very aware of this guy....dark hair, clean-shaven, mid 30s and obviously a body builder...looking like a young Christopher Reeve.

As we continued from stop to stop, the train lurched quite a bit and I had trouble maintaining my balance. This guy's arm wrapped around my back in a protective gesture and he shifted his weight toward me. After a couple of more jarring moments, he was literally flexing his arm behind my back, embracing me and still pretending he was only holding on for his balance.

I kept apologizing for being so clumsy with my hands full; I was sure I was imagining things; but, by the end of the third stop, he had turned into me and was leaning into my hand. I became aware that he was rubbing a hard-on against my hand in the guise of having to keep his balance.

I knew what was happening, but still was thinking, "I am completely making this up in my head". However, despite recent inexperience, I do remember my Anatomy 101; he was indeed pressing the bulge in his khakis into my hand.

He never looked directly at me during the ride, but when I got off the subway, I turned around and looked at him for an instant. He was very serious, (I guess to gauge my reaction), then looked directly at me and gave me a shit-eatin' grin. I smiled all the way to my transfer spot. Nothing like that has happened to me in years. It's enough to keep me working out for a long time:)!

Anyway, that's most of Day Four of my Tales of the City. I'm going to bed early, as I've only averaged three hours of sleep a night while visiting due to the heat and time change. I've got to get rested so I can keep up when Hurricane Muffin hits town and I get to meet and greet Live Journalers par excellent!

Neil,

Judging from some journalers there in the bay area, this experience you just described isn't so rare after all in SF.

I'm glad some think you still woofy besides me! :-)

I'm glad you are enjoying your time in SF and hope you can keep up with Hurrican Muffin when he blows into town and good luck with lunch with Paul and Curtis.

Slut.

Back in 2000, during rush hour (before I learned to avoid it if I could) I actually had my ass grabbed and fondled by a semi-cute fella on the Muni once, all the way from Van Ness to Castro. Never saw him again, alas.

Such shenanigans are not uncommon on the Muni.

You hit it right on the mark! I don't lack for confidence, but this just made me feel terrific; tawdry, but terrific. I still had it... with my hands full...and uh, my hands full...hehehe

You will, my friend, you will. Just remember to leave Dorothy back in Kansas or in your case the Twin Cities:) Sounds like you had a great time at the Fair.

That happened to me on the bus in SF too. It also happened on the bus when I lived in LA and here in Miami. I wish it was more believable while it was happening... I don't take the bus here anymore. I wouldn't be able to get around with things so far apart. Public transportation in S. Florida sucks so bad it's almost better to walk.

That's the same as Houston. Everyone drives... so this would never have happened to me at home:)

Hmmm, what's this fishing line I see? And what's this, a compliment lour at the end of it. Why it's so shiny and pretty. (walk like a zombie towards lour) I can't help but go after it.....I think you are very handsome as well. As you might have guessed by all the attention I was giving you on Sunday :)

Step & Tent

Ahh….you discovered the secret treasure of the MUNI. Having lived in SF for many years, this is a normal occurrence, but ALWAYS welcomed and it just puts a “step” & “tent” in your gate, when you exit. Is that all you got was a tickle and a feel……??? ……There is a porn novel about street car riding out there somewhere. I think I have a chapter in me, in the ancient recess’s of my mind.
