Three Minute Tour of Texas
Aug. 2nd, 2008 07:47 pmRecently,
theoctothorpe created a meme centered around "favorite names of towns". I replied Round Top, Texas, population 77, because my friend Scott created a business called Square Bottom Pens .. Get it .. Round Top, Square Bottom ... *cheesy smirk*. Well, this video came to me via email. It's a parody of "I've Been Everywhere, Man" using names of Texas towns. The video creator traveled over 10,000 miles within the state on his motorcycle to get this footage. Bet there are some Texas towns sung about that you never knew existed:) Enjoy!

Date: 2008-08-03 11:22 pm (UTC)This is old, but... when I was a kid growing up in Lancaster, Pa., my family would take Sunday afternoon 'rides' in the car (a 1953 Buick Roadmaster). Two of the rural Pa. towns we passed by were "Blue Ball" right next to "Paradise" ... I was too young to get the joke, but thought the names memorable just the same :0)
