Someone's Little Bit of Heaven

This butterfly landed on my front sidewalk
Anyone know what type it is?

Milk Machine:) A few years back, I had a dun-colored
mare with a black mane and tail .. and she had a foal
like this little lady!

My house after a Saturday afternoon of dangerous yard work:)
Finally, one for

Date: 2008-05-07 05:14 am (UTC)While I'm in "erudite show-off" mode: that 'butterfly' is actually a large and showy moth...it's called a "Cecropia" [See-cro-pi-a], I believe.
(I should check this on Google or wikipedia.)
Your home looks so beautiful - even your car seems to match the window shutters, and the greenery is splendid!
Love all the other shots too. Did I tell you that years ago I did "Best Little Whorehouse" at the Carousel - and made the floor look like the Texas flag laid out in linoleum ?
I can see why your Texas Bride photo is such a hit - it says a lot, and with such grace.
Big Hugs!!

Date: 2008-05-07 11:46 am (UTC)I included the house picture because I had so many knicks and bruises from doing the yard work! :)
I'm going to have to kick some student butts ... 70 pages? When you have two LJ entries from me and others to read ... How dare they!!! LOL!
Hang in there! Big HUGS!

Date: 2008-05-07 03:49 pm (UTC)Life looks so pleasant in the rural area that it's tempting. I saw a house in FW's historic Ryan Place featured in a photo story in the paper. Built in 1926, it's been recently restored. Price is out of sight.

Date: 2008-05-08 01:26 am (UTC)As to the moth ... The coloration and markings of this moth were so striking, that I just supposed that it was a butterfly. The amazing thing about this moth, is that it about 10 times bigger than any butterfly I've ever seen. I'm going to have to follow
How was the Soul Force experience last weekend?
Big HUGS!
