From a friend .... Hehehe

THE GEORGE W. BUSH Presidential Library is now in the planning stages.
You'll want to be the first at your corporation to make a contribution to this great man's legacy.

The Library will include:

1. The Hurricane Katrina Room, which is still under construction.

2. The Alberto Gonzales Room, where you can't remember anything.

3. The Texas Air National Guard Room, where you don't have to even show up.

4. The Walter Reed Hospital Room, where they don't let you in.

5. The Guantanamo Bay Room, where they don't let you out.

6. The Weapons of Mass Destruction Room (which no one has been able to find).

7. The Iraq War Room. After you complete your first tour, they make you go back for a second, third, fourth, and sometimes fifth tour.

8. The Dick Cheney Room, in the famous undisclosed location, complete with shooting gallery.

9. Plans also include: The K-Street Project Gift Shop - where you can buy (or just steal) an election.

10. The Airport Men's Room, where you can meet some of your favorite Republican Senators.

11. Last, but not least, there will be an entire floor devoted to a 7/8 scale model of the President's ego.

To highlight the President's accomplishments, the museum will have an electron microscope to help you
locate them.

I noticed your music was Hail To The Chief. I think Hail To The Thief might be more appropriate.

It's his legacy. I hope he can live with it. I have been saying for a while now that our only consolation after suffering eight years with him in office is that history will most certainly be unkind to him. Oops... my schadenfreude is showing! ;-)

This is so funny, but sad at the same time.

Last week I went to Austin to visit the LBJ Library. I got to celebrate a true Texas man who began his adult life by teaching poor Mexican children.

A couple days later [livejournal.com profile] eggwards was kind to drive me through the SMU campus and past the essentially empty lot that will become the G. W. Bush Library. I wonder how the exhibits will explain President Bush's early adult life.

What I'm not understanding is that you were in Austin without letting me know:) I was there on Wednesday and Friday and was actually on the Texas campus near the LJB library.

Hope you enjoyed your visit.

Texas is a big state, but I guess not THAT big. My visit was brief, but quite enjoyable. I needed to get away from the cold and snow.

The library was destroyed in a fire today. All three books were lost. President Bush was upset, especially since he hadn't finished coloring two of them. :)

Man, that was like Cliff Notes for the Bush presidency. Very funny - have you ever thought of writing for a living?

Welcome! I have written for a living, but this isn't one of my pieces. It's borrowed. However, I continue to put my best pen forward. If you would like to "friend" me, I'll return the favor. Unfortunately, the majority of my posts are for "friends only" these days.

Have a great weekend!
