Take A Little Time to Enjoy The View

A couple of months ago, I wrote a post about the two ladies who run the office of the self-storage company where I have two units. At the time, LaSharon mentioned a website where the voting public could answer "position" questions and discover which political candidates' stated views most closely aligned with their own. Folks who read that post will also remember that it lead to a confrontation between myself and Tina, the other woman in the office. She was the narrow-minded, bigoted, homophobic, misogynist bible-thumper, who when I mentioned I suspected my views would align me with Hillary Clinton, called Hillary a Lesbian bitch (as if it were a bad thing:) I found out yesterday that Tina is gone. Good riddance! Well, here are the quiz results from the website that led to Tina's rant. The alignment isn't quite what I suspected it would be! Oddly, I'm not on the Obama bandwagon. Perhaps, I'll take a closer look.

I bet you could do a lot of politicla commentary just by respoding to news stories with a song carefully selected from various musicals ;0)

I didn't think anyone ever noticed that, most of the time, I try to use a show tune to underline what I'm thinking or feeling:) Thanks for noticing. 1776 was one of my favorite experiences onstage. Did you take the quiz? I'm curious as to what your list would be.

Which role did you have in 1776?
While some may not agree, I liked the movie version as well - especially the 'letter' scenes between John and Abigail which were tailored specifically for the film medium.
As for music to accompany posts, first I check out what's playing on the radio (it's frequently on as I write)... but sometimes I try to play DJ and put in what I think'd be appropriate to my topic.

I'll have to go take the quiz...thanks for your curiosity; I may be surprised with the results myself.

I've played John Livingston of NY twice. Livingston is part of "But, Mr. Adams" with Sherman, Franklin, Jefferson and Adams. In both productions, though I was supposedly gone to NY to see my child born, I was kept onstage long enough to sing the top notes for "Cool, Cool, Considerate Men".
