Waiting Just for You ...
Jul. 31st, 2007 04:02 pmTomorrow, my home is officially on the market. As part of the process, my real estate agent, Scott, asked me to create a description of my house for the listing. He called last night to tell me that several of the agents in his Century 21 office really liked it.
Lovely 1925 Bungalow in Historic Downtown Brenham, ready and waiting for just the right person to love. Newly renovated, this 2 bedroom, 1 bath home features high ceilings and unique architecture, such as a “preacher’s door”, amongst its many charms.
Immaculately maintained, this cozy house has a large shaded backyard with mature landscaping. It’s close to Brenham’s Courthouse Square where a welcoming mix of antique stores, art galleries, restaurants and Unity Theatre await. A block from Brenham’s post office, this home would be a wonderful retreat for the discerning buyer who seeks a return to the joys of living in a relaxed, but vibrant community.
Kitchen and bath updates, central air, new carpet for the bedrooms and study, restoration of the hardwood floors in the living and formal dining rooms, and a fresh coat of paint throughout the house, are just a few of its enticing qualities. This home feels open, airy and welcoming. It’s a rare opportunity to purchase history at an affordable cost. It is waiting just for you.
This sounds so good and it is the truth about the house. It almost makes me want to stay ... almost ... I have mixed feelings about selling, but not about moving. I've decided that my motto for the remainder of this year and into next will be, "It's about me! It's about time!". LOL!
One final thing ... I decided to do a bit of trimming to my friends list here on Live Journal. I haven't eliminated anyone whom I have personally met. I only dropped the folks who haven't posted or commented in any way in the past several months. If I have made a mistake, please let me know.

Date: 2007-07-31 10:17 pm (UTC)If I need helping staging the house, it's with the outside, as I'm not a yard kind of guy. I want to twitch my nose and have every part of the landscaping be perfect. LOL!

Date: 2007-08-02 04:43 am (UTC)If you have time, the Columbia River Gorge and the scenic highway that meanders along the skyline is striking. The Falls are really nice and there's a state park (can't remember the name) with a very interesting nude beach:)
Have fun! HUGS!

Date: 2007-08-01 03:28 am (UTC)That sounds like my life ...with he exception of my hubby...I am surrounded by family..and a few friends...who can't seem to survive unless I get involved in their lives
Today, (Typical day) I arranged for a phone at my daughters new house, topped up her cell phone ...lent them some money to get their car fixed...agreed to mind the kids this weekend...etc etc..and that's just today

Date: 2007-08-01 04:51 am (UTC)As you know...I count my blessing in this area...often
As far as helping family...
This keeps me going:
..."Hell is not fire and brimstone. Hell, is when you come to the end of your days, and you realize you could have made a difference in the lives of those you love...but you didn't..and now its too late"
("When Bad Things Happen To Good People"...Harold Kushner)
It may not apply to you and your situation......but, in my situation... it haunts me...("At the moment that they needed me...did I turn and go away")

Date: 2007-08-01 04:17 am (UTC)I would hope you'd end up in Mpls/St. Paul. It is truly God's country. At this point, I don't think I'll give up living in, or around, Sioux Falls, but if I were to move? It would be to the Cities.
Yay for your new, bold move. I'm glad I didn't get moved out of your friends. I do enjoy your entries.
Oh yes, what kind of job are you looking for? I assume it's the theatre.
