House on Sycamore Street
Feb. 7th, 2007 02:46 pmMy move-in begins tomorrow! I found this 1920s bungalow about a week ago. It had been "for sale" only; but the owner, a real estate agent, has agreed to rent the property to me for $700/month with an option to buy (which I have already decided to do). It's 1150 square feet; 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 14 ft ceilings, with several of the original architectural elements intact.
The hard wood floors have been refinished; the kitchen tile updated; the bath completely renovated; there is new carpet in the bedrooms and office; the electrical has been updated and new central air and heat installed. The paint inside and out is new. The house is a block off of Brenham's Courthouse Square, a block from the post office and my bank. It's in a neighborhood of historic homes and is exactly what I've always wanted ... an older home with most of the work to update it done already. *grin* I think I'm gonna like it there! Kudos to
gotmoof for the splendid layout. Thanks, Tim!
