Oct. 7th, 2005 09:20 amThree Days in a Row
Three days in a row I've awakened at 7:17am, again at 8:37am and 9:31am. I opened one eye, squinted at the clock and thought to myself, I've done it again. What's up with that? The latter time may seem late, but when you go to bed at 1am, it's not so early. Just about right ....
I've always been someone with a strong internal clock. In fact, I went years on the road without a travel clock, setting the alarm on the hotel clock or wearing a watch. The only time I've been late, was after I got a watch and the battery wore out after two years. Often, I decide what time I want to wake up the next day and usually wake up within three to five minutes of the designated time. Of course, now I'm knocking on wood that I won't be late for something today. (I'll save superstitions for another post:)
I know I'm waking up so much because I'm adjusting to Pacific Coast Time again, but I find it interesting that it's been exactly the same times. Or... perhaps, it's the large glasses of green tea I've been drinking:)

We have a put -in rehearsal for Carmen Yurich this afternoon. Carmen replaces Matthew Kilgore. Matthew is leaving us to begin rehearsals next week for the Los Angeles company of "White Christmas". This is the first "second generation" replacement in "Evita". Matthew replaced Austin Eyres in the same dancer track back in June in Philadelphia. Over the past two performances both of the new Tango Understudies made their debut. Nova Bergeron and Marcos Santana both did a fine job!
Word has it that Kathy Voytko's replacement as Eva, Sarah Litzsinger, is now under contract and will join us in Costa Mesa on Monday. Kathy will open the show as Eva in Baltimore the week of October 25. Thursday or Friday of that week, Sarah will take over as leading lady.
