AOL - What's Going On?

Update: I was able to access my AOL email after I reset Safari. Thanks to those of you who responded. It is a good impetus to create a gmail account and begin the move away from AOL completely. I've been trying to access my AOL email for about two days and have had no success loading the site, let alone reaching my Free AOL email account. I am able to access everything else, including Live Journal. I'm getting concerned, as one of my two AOL screen names is strictly for business mail, and I can't get to it.

My blog is linked to one of my screen names too, so I'm wondering if the attacks on LJ affected the link to AOL. I don't even know if anyone has responded to any of my comments in their journals. I've tried googling AOL, tried on several different computers. No luck! Is there anyone who can tell me what's going on? I've had paid dial-up service with them for 12 years and moved to free email this year. This is my only email account. Help! Thanks in advance.

Have you tried going to the website "mail.aol.com" and read your email there?

I appreciate the information. I went to "mail.aol.com" and when I clicked on the button that says "already a member, click here", a box popped up and was blank. Wouldn't populate.

When I typed in info to "create a new email address" and used the existing name and password, it told me I couldn't, because that name was already taken.

Now, I'm going on three days and no access. I'll have to call AOl today and see why I can't access it. To be clear, I've tried accessing AOL on work computers too. Tho, all five of the computers I've tried have been MACs. I don't know how that could be an issue because the ones at work also work with Internet Explorer.

I got my own domain, bearmanga.com. Seemed like a great idea at the time, but the customer service contact was, um, me.

It's already been mentioned, but try mail.aol.com. Also, you may want to get a free e-mail account as a backup, such as Gmail.

I dont' mind doing that ... I will try gmail ... but I've had the same two screen names for 13 years and I've got mail piling up I can't get to .... the mail.aol.com didn't work. The screen that pops up for "already an existing member" doesn't populate, stays blank.
