Next month I'll be moving within my building ... There was a floor plan that wasn't available to me when I first moved here. After I saw a friend's apartment on a lower floor with that layout, I put myself on an internal waiting list if the floor plan became available.

One of our residents moved in here while her house was being completely remodeled. Her house is ready for her to move back into and she's moving out next week; I was #2 on the waiting list and the first person decided she was going to stay in her current apartment. I said yes. So, up two floors I will move in late April. I will be on the top floor in a corner unit with a balcony that faces South. It's the best location in the building for a one-bedroom apartment.

The apartment is a bit bigger than mine and will offer more flexibility in terms of furniture arrangement. I am excited, but also well aware how much work it is going to be to make the move upstairs. I've already made my first purchase for the new apartment. I found this rug online yesterday and I think it's beautiful. It's made in Turkey of durable materials. Planning this move is keeping my mind occupied as I mostly shelter in place. I'm movin' on up to the Eastside ... to a deluxe apartment in the sky.

I find having a good view is very important. I know that's not the case for some. We had one house that had a gorgeous view, and people told me that I'd get tired of it after a while. Nope, essentially every night, I'd watch the sun set, and every day, I'd appreciate the view.

It's also good for your eyes! We tend to focus so much on things close up that it's good to exercise your eyes by looking at things in the distant.

I look forward to seeing pictures of what your view looks like, and once all this COVID-19 stuff gets settled, maybe we'll make a trip out your way.

Lots of light is good. We've been opening all the blinds every day lately, and it just feels better to have the house filled with light. We used to leave the bedroom blinds down all the time, as we don't spend much time in the bedroom during the day. By opening them now, it just adds a bit of light as you're walking by, and that every little bit helps us feel better.

We're doing fine. Getting out for walks with our dog, which helps with exercise and avoiding cabin fever.

How great that you'll have a view of the Pillsbury Mill logo. That's a fun thing to see.

BTW, I sent you an email for your birthday, I hope that it made it through the spam filters.
