I just wrote a post about spending an afternoon with bearchitect in downtown Baltimore. It was a treat to see Charm City through his eyes. Here are a few snapshots from our visit and walking tour. Thanks to gotmoof for posting pictures for me from this wonderful afternoon!

You don't have to convince me... Fernando's a class act:) Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I was surprised to see how much detail came out in the photo of the vault gates. You can clearly see the vault behind the gold deco gates.

Hehehe ...I agree. Two things ... Fernando told me the technical name for the design style of The Mechanic is "brutalism"; that's right after I described it as plug ugly. However, I do think that capturing it with the afternoon sunlight dappling the concrete perhaps made it a little less ugly:)

Neil, I'm glad I was able to dispel some of the horror stories about Charm City, but most of all I soooo glad you were not mugged!

Very lovely indeed Neil and I have to chime in with the rest. That Fernando is mighty yummy looking. Grrr! :-)

I also love the fall color shot. Such intense colors there.

The bank vault shot is also wonderful and I bet a site to behold while inside.

For the term plug ugly, I simply say, butt ugly. :-P

Well, as for the "real" thing, butts are wonderful, especially if of the bubble butt variety ;-)
