A Horse's Tooth!

I came into possession of the mystery item on my trip to Austin on Wednesday. It's a horse's molar, a tooth from our 34-year old Arabian gelding, Golden Treasure, or "Pace" as we've always called him. Pace and our 30-year old 3/4 Arabian mare, "Callie" were examined by a dental veterinarian last week and the vet found the tooth on the ground. As you can imagine at his advanced age, Pace doesn't have many teeth left. My brother-in-law asked me if I wanted the tooth and I decided to keep it as a souvenir, a memory of our wonderful old horse.
