I'm Still Celebrating ...

On my birthday, I heard from over 400 people via FB messages, LJ, email, cards, phone calls and texts. How did I spend my birthday? It took all day, but I responded to each and every contact. As to birthday gifts, my favorite was from Jon, an M&M-themed blanket!! Thanks, Jon! I love it!! I've always celebrated birthdays. To me, they rank right up there with Christmas as a holiday and ahead of Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve. I'm still celebrating.

I spent a lot of the weekend napping. Odd that working 16 hours a week could make me so tired; but, for a year, I had no work schedule. I'm heading out in a few minutes to begin another week at State Farm. I did visit a Pet Adoption Event over the weekend and was very attracted to a year old yellow lab named Dale; I also happened on a pet store which is very close to work and spent an hour looking at the puppies, mostly designer mixes, all incredibly adorable. I almost had to call a friend to talk me off the ledge. :) Puppies ranged from $1500 to $2500!!

Last night after dinner with a friend, I went dancing as is usual for my Sunday evenings and I had a blast, as is usual. Such lovely people! I also sang Karaoke last night at the same place as our dance. "Corner of the Sky" is still a favorite, though I am decades too old to sing it in a show! It still felt good!

My brother will be visiting me April 12th, l following a business training in Vadnais Heights, MN. He's the first family member to visit me in my nine years off and on in Minnesota and I'm really happy about it.
