Friday, the 13th has always been a lucky day for me! That's a good thing since the odometer on my car read 6666 when I left Brenham on Wednesday and I arrived in Minneapolis this afternoon on the 13th:) Twelve hundred miles is a long way to drive, but I absolutely enjoyed the time to myself. I especially enjoyed my lunch today at a cafe along the lake in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

[livejournal.com profile] gotmoof gave me excellent directions to his house when I reached the city limits and was at the door to meet me when I drove up about 3:15pm. We did a bit of banking and grocery shopping before Tim hosted Sci-Fi Friday. He also made spaghetti and garlic bread for supper. Yum! Tonight was my introduction to Dr. Who, Battlesstar Gallactica and a very odd series called Dexter. The Gallactica series has come a long way since the one I remember from the 70s which featured Lorne Greene of Bonanza fame:) John, [livejournal.com profile] bearnight, Dave, [livejournal.com profile] rebisbear, and Dean, [livejournal.com profile] deansota were in attendance as well as two guys new to my acquaintance ... Eric, [livejournal.com profile] bookish_cub and Steve, [livejournal.com profile] caviecub. Such nice people!

Let the good times begin!
