It's Official!

A dose of reality .... During our opening performance tonight here in Huntsville, Alabama, the closing notice for the tour was posted. All unions have been informed that contracts for The National Tour of "Evita" will be completed on February 12 in Waterbury, Connecticut. We are closing after 401 performances.

The tour was extended by six weeks and I have another show coming up, so it's not bad news, just sad news. But I've got to admit, I always pretend the show isn't closing till that piece of paper hits the call-board. I want to do my best to the very end. We began "Evita" rehearsals on October 3, 2004 ... We are closing February 12, 2006. A long run is rare and I am grateful to have had consistent employment. It's time to work even harder on future gigs! It's official.
