A Flyin' 4th of July
Jul. 5th, 2006 12:28 amI just got to Houston about 90 minutes ago. Thanks to
perkk for taking me to the airport this morning, as it was a work day for
gotmoof. The Air Tran flight went well. I was upgraded for free to Business Class and the flight arrived 30 minutes early into Chicago Midway. I wasn't able to catch an earlier Southwest flight to Houston without flying standby, so I spent 6 hours at Midway. It wasn't all that bad ... I read two magazines cover to cover and the entire new Janet Evanovich novel, plus ate some pretty decent Chinese food. We were about 30 minutes late getting into Houston Hobby because of weather, but my friend Casey was parked right outside the door from the Baggage Claim Area once I secured my bags. I'm a tired puppy, so I'm spending the night in Houston and heading back to Brenham in the morning. I will hold this two-week trip to the Twin Cities as one of my favorites of all time. I gained a lot by staying with Tim, by getting to know John and the other members of their household and their circle of friends. I hope everyone had a flyin' 4th of July:)!
