Greetings from Braintree, Massachusetts..or Taxachusetts as my friend and bride-to-be Linda calls it. I don't dispute her opinion since she's a native of the state. I wrote a comment to woofytexan (Donald) and since I'm on my laptop for the next five days and my journal is very different, I don't think that it posted correctly. So, let me repeat... Thanks Donald for attending "Yankee Doodle Dandy" with me in Dallas last evening and being so much fun. It is great to laugh so much! It was wonderful to see my Seattle actor friends and to support them in their work! I also enjoyed the dinner beforehand at Uncle Julios.

Today was a rollercoaster of a trip. I started out by getting lost on the way to the airport, having never flown out of, but only through DFW. I followed that by a moment of concern when all of the remote parking lots were full and I was only an hour away from flight time. The day turned around when it took about three minutes to check my bags, go through security and be at the gate. The flight left on time and was 41 minutes early. I think that is a new record for early arrivals in my experience. I took a shuttle to Braintree and checked into my hotel for the wedding weekend.

Linda and her fiance Vic met me at the hotel about 6pm and took me to dinner. I'm in a lovely, comfortable room, but will not be on-line much for the next few days, as they charge $1.50 for the first 60 minutes of a local call and 10 cents a minute thereafter. They offer high speed internet access for $10.95 for a 12-hour period, but I don't plan to be sitting around my hotel room enough to make that financially responsible:) There is a fitness center on the property and I'm near a movie theatre and mall, so I'll put my time, when not involved in wedding activities, to good use. I'm still not sure where I'm spending Sunday and Monday nights before flying back to Dallas, but I'm kind of liking the idea that I'll make my mind up on the fly:)

One random sighting today - A semi-truck in Dallas carrying crates of bees. The entire load was covering by fine netting and you could see the bees swarming. I thought to the accident in Houston a couple of weeks ago where a hauler lost control of his truck and spilled 30,000 eggs on the freeway. I decided I wouldn't want to be around if the bee truck had something go wrong. I'd take scrambled eggs over bee stings any day...LOL

Shout-outs to Robert - I hope the set construction is going well; BruinWI - I was trying to be low-key here on live journal, but it is "Evita" that I am looking to go out with this Fall); to Tim (baraksf) - I am sending good thoughts your way for the new uncledom gig and to Baby Blue, your nephew; to Tim (bluedevilsf) - Any word on the job opportunity?...and to other LJers whose words I so enjoy reading!

Hey Neil,

Sorry your posting earlier, if there was one, never made to me. :-( LJ has been incredibly slow the past couple of days due to bad internal connections, esp. the Seattle link (and it does NOT help to be on dialup during all this). And to add insult to injury, some pages have a hard time loading, if tney load at all with all the bits n pieces.

I'm glad to know you're OK and doing well. Will look forward to your next posting, should you decide to post another one while in Braintree. :-)

I'm home sick today, slept a good part of the afternoon, other than running to Kinkos three times to deal with a company whom I'm buying checks from, a copy of my bank and/or credit card statement, I have not been out of the house all day.

I'm a little achy at the moment and have just gotten up from a long nap.

Now to go deal with some dishes so I can make some French toast for dindin. This is where I"d love some OJ, but do not feel like running to the store, just for that so will make do with cranberry juice instead.

I hope to be at work tomorrow and therefore attend Seattle's pride weekend this weekend. Wish me well dear.

Good thots back at ya!

Had a bizzare dream concerning the upcoming Nutcracker production in the new Overture Center. Arrived late, couldn't find the dressing room, my costume, OR the stage; organized chaos all around. A variation on "I showed up at class and I'm nekkid, and it's the final exam....what class IS this, anyway?"

I had a second phone interview on Tuesday with two people who are one level higher than the ones with whom I spoke when I was in Illinois. All indications I've gotten so far say that I will be offered the job, but I haven't yet heard anything.
