I’ve decided to return my iPod to the Apple Store. I saved my Christmas and birthday money to get it, but I won’t use it. I don’t listen to music except while working or driving (and I’m not doing that right now:) and never on head phones. Hell, I don’t even have any music files on any of my computers.

I think it’s a terrific product and one that would eventually be useful to me for the photo storage element, but the cable connecting the camera to the iPod isn’t in the stores yet. I’ve had the iPod since Sunday and I haven’t even opened the box. Better, I think, to get my money back and keep saving to replace my five-year old laptop. SO, the iPod goes back. I also think I'm having a bit of rebellion against technology since I find it takes me away from my reading and activities more than I'd like.

I’ve just finished packing one of my suitcases, have a big box of books and other materials ready to ship home. Our two replacement dancers Barry and Matthew are rehearsing to take over from Kevin and Tony this weekend and two of our women Brianna and Victoria gave notice and will be leaving at the end of the second week in Toronto. I’m looking back over the pictures from this past month, at many of your smiling faces and the good times we shared and it makes me a bit melancholy. It’s been a period of the “Evita” Tour which I looked so forward to and now it’s almost over.....

BearBrat (Tom) joined me yesterday for dinner between shows at The Cheesecake Factory and then on a shopping excursion to the Disney Store and Borders to kick off his birthday season. Tom’s birthday isn’t until May 1, but I’ll be in Canada then, so we started celebrating early. Keep on celebrating Tom! It’s been great hanging with you!

My friend Joel, another performer in “Evita”, and I are going to take the plunge tonight and go out to the Lone Star for a bit after the show; on Sunday evening, Richard G. is making it possible for me to go two-steppin at the Sundance one more time before I leave. Yay!

To audience members: We can see you! As we were performing “Goodnight and Thank You” at yesterday’s matinee, there is a section of the number where Eva, Che, Magaldi and I break the fourth wall and sing right to the audience. On the front row, stage right, was an elegant woman in her late 40s who was flossing her teeth, applauding, flossing her teeth...just a pickin’ and diggin’. It isn’t television, it’s live theater and we can see you:)
